One of the best parts of running a craft supply shop is hearing back from customers with photos of what they have created with their purchases. I am always amazed by the creativity and talent of my wonderful customers who are a great source of inspiration. Snuggly Monkey did some world traveling this week as two different blogs (one in Canada and one in France) featured Snuggly Monkey products in their projects.
Over on Sweet Madeleine, Madeleine shared some of her ideas on Creating an Eco-Friendly Easter.
Like Madeleine, I am not a big fan of plastic Easter eggs. It was this dislike that inspired me to add wooden eggs to the shop years ago. I love sitting down with my family every year to paint the eggs. I love that we can re-use them from year to year, and that they have become a bit of a family heirloom in our house. (And I REALLY love no longer stepping on rouge plastic egg halves in August!) It sounds like Madeleine is on her way to creating the same tradition in her home.
Wooden eggs are available in 3 different sizes – Robin (1-5/16″ tall), Pullet (2″ tall) and Hen (2.5″ tall). So pick the size that is right for you. Need some more painting inspiration? Check out my tutorial on using Milk Paint with wooden eggs.
These rings have long been a favorite in our house (although we call them fairy rings over here). My girls love dancing around the yard and watching the ribbons and silks float in the breeze. Be sure to check out the rest of Maeve’s Rainbow Week posts, she has some great tutorials and inspiration for fun, colorful projects.
What have you been making? I always love to receive and share customer project photos on Facebook and Instagram, so please keep them coming. Also be sure to use the #snugglymonkey hashtag on Instagram to share your projects and get more ideas and inspiration.
